I was enjoying all the description and premonition at the beginning but got tired of it pretty quickly, so I skimmed in the middle just to get the story moved on quicker. Irving sure had everything plotted out before writing the story which annoyed me a bit since every smallest detail would come out again somewhere in the future. Maybe I read it at the wrong time, I was just not in the for this type.
