Shades of Grey: A Novel

Shades of Grey: A Novel - Jasper Fforde I so regret reading this book. I should've waited until I have the complete serie in my hand before reading, because now I simply need to know how it continues! I love how Eddie grew from happpy-go-lucky boy into a young man. Jane is unfortunately a bit know-it-all to my liking, but I think she's softening a bit toward the end and I wonder how the story goes for her too. The world itself is so quirky and enchanting with unbounded things to speculate and guess. It serves the dark theme of an absolute authority with fringes of humour. There was a snagged episode with the historian which doesn't exactly make sense but on the whole a smooth blend of story and explanation about the world. Fforde was not afraid to let some things unexplained which makes it even more real. After all if you ever visit a foreign country you don't want all facts explained to you at once. It leaves more to explore in the 2nd and 3rd book. I can't hardly wait....
