The story of young Miles. After seeing him as the bitter, conniving, injured adult man it was interesting to see him as a young man who actually made mistakes young man usually did. Though not a fan of sci-fi or anything with a whiff of spaceship in it I really did enjoy seeing him stumbled and bluster his way into "Admiralty" and the whole spaceship-plasma-something-weapon-thingy didn't overwhelm me for a change. I was truly skeptical about this series but after reading 5 parts of it I have to admit that I'm hooked and probably would read the whole thing.
